Instructions

The quiz contains multiple-choice, matching, and fill-in-the-blank questions, some of which embed images and ask you to identify the cinematic elements you see. The quiz covers last Thursday's lecture on Moonlight and the film itself. It also returns to the visual elements that contribute to film style: mise-en-scene, cinematography, and editing.  To prepare, review the lecture slides and recording, the textbook chapter summaries on mise-en-scene, cinematography, and editing, and the notes you took while screening the film.

Once you begin the quiz, you will have 20 minutes to complete it. Although the quiz is open-book, the time limit only allows for a quick double-check of information you're already fairly certain you know.

I expect students to adhere to the UW Student Conduct Code when taking the quiz. The Code explicitly prohibits academic misconduct such as having someone else complete the exam for you, distributing quiz questions and/or answers to students who have not yet taken the exam, and accepting such materials.

You must finish the quiz by Monday, June 1, at 11:59 p.m.
