QUESTIONS:

How did American political leadership build a sense of national solidarity during World War II? Who was included, and who was omitted?  How did the genocidal threat of Adolf Hitler become a mobilizing force for civil rights activism in the US? Why did that threat advance the cause of civil rights for some but not all (e.g. interned Japanese Americans)? What did you find most interesting in this week's readings, and why?
