REQUIREMENTS for New Project Leads

Project leads must complete these requirements in order to maintain SLAC approval.
1.  Complete annual New Leadership Update survey (5-7 minutes)

Complete the New Student Leads survey Links to an external site. to report the names of incoming student leadership as well as updates in scope, faculty advisors, or community partners.
2. Complete Leadership Training (~30 minutes)

Each Service Learning Project is required to complete the training and quiz below.  If your project has multiple leads, it's fine to select one member to represent your team.
3. Overview

REVIEW SLAC APPLICATION

At the start of your term, review your project's SLAC application.  This will inform you about the scope of your SLAC approval. Meet with your project's faculty advisor to complete the SLAC Application Renewal Form Download SLAC Application Renewal Form, ensuring any necessary updates are made if there have been changes to the scope of your project. Email the completed renewal form to somserve@uw.edu.

DATA COLLECTION

  • Total Number of Medical Student Volunteers
  • Total Number of Medical Student Volunteer Hours
  • Total number of Clients/Individuals Served

Student SLAC reps or the Service Learning Manager will collect this data.  Look for emails in November and May.
