Volunteer Role
These programs are dedicated to sparking the interest of middle and high school students from communities underrepresented in medicine to consider a career as a health professional. Events may include workshops such as intubation, suturing, patient interviewing, physical exam skills, and interaction with human organs / pathology specimens. Volunteers also supply presentations that explain different pathways to work as a health professional, as well as time for discussion and questions about these different pathways.
