Please share the progress you are making on project #3, which includes:
- Defining English by choosing 6-10 take-aways from the data that showcase the complexities and/or inequities around English
- Groups of 5-6 people have 10 take-aways
- Groups of less people have 6 take-aways
- Supporting those take-aways with examples from the data
- Supporting those take-away and examples with 6-10 scholarly/peer-reviewed sources and referencing at least 2 linguistic branches (phonology, morphology, syntax, etc.)
- Groups of 5-6 people read 10 sources
- Groups of less people read 6 sources
- Reflecting on how those take-aways can create more linguistic justice
Please write a progress report (1 page single-spaced per group) in which you talk about your collective and individual contributions to the project so far, and specifically, talk about:
How did you approach the data to identify the take-aways? Have you identified those take-aways yet? What examples will you use to support those ideas? Make sure they are properly referenced (where they came from). Have you started your annotated bibliography/literature review? What peer-reviewed sources will you read/use in the project?
Finally, what shape will your infographic/poster take and how are you creating it?
If you have any questions, please make sure you ask!
