In the article by Rachel Parsons, we read that “Correcting course means continuing to move from extractive methods to truly collaborative, reciprocal work in participation with Indigenous communities” (Anthropology Association Apologizes). As you think about doing research in and with communities for project #2, how did this article help you to imagine what ethical and non-extractive research might look like? What are some actions you can take to avoid or at least, mitigate, extractive language research?
