Final Report (and revised Briefs)

Research Report (20%), discussion of drafts begins December 3, oral presentation on Thursday, December 12, 10:30-12:30, final revisions due December 13.

Analytical report on a current issue in Estonian, Latvian and/or Lithuanian politics, economy or society: Revise and expand one of your briefs (you may combine earlier briefs into this one final report). Your final report (8-15 pages) should include the following:

• A research question
  • review sources you used to answer this question (news reports, government publications, etc)
  • when appropriate, discuss reliability of the sources.
• Summary of recent developments,
  • particular attention to events from September to December 2024
  • references to sources.
• Analysis: Why are these events significant?
  • interpretations/opinions/editorials published in the Baltic and abroad
• Conclusions: survey a variety of possible outcomes; present your own evidence-based argument:
• A succinct title that summarizes the issue and indicates your conclusions
  
  
• Present your report to the class on December 12.

Submit the final revision of your report by Friday of finals week, December 13.
