Initial Research Study Survey (ANTH 215)

Your instructor is participating in a research study designed to help them grow their teaching practice in ways that benefit students enrolled in large classes. The research is being led by a team from the UW Center for Teaching and Learning and the UW Resilience Lab. Part of their efforts will include surveying you on your perceptions and experiences related to this class.

You will be asked to fill out a survey at the beginning of the quarter and then again at the end of the quarter. Your instructor will not have access to your survey responses until after grades post for the quarter – only the research team will have access to your responses. The information you provide will be anonymous, meaning that your name will not be connected to the data.

It is up to you whether to fill out the survey. You will not be penalized in any way for opting not to fill out the survey. But we hope you do – your voice and experiences matter and may help improve the student experience for future students at UW.
