Melete:
O lovely Aphrodite, your beauty is like that of a flower
Nectar so sweet, petals so fragile
You sprung from the earth, showering us in your glamor
The bees flock to you, in awe of your essence
To you I dedicate this blossoming wonder
Erato:
O Hades, why must you love
Leave that for the arrows
In the shadows of Helicon
The wind blows amidst the dry grass
As Demeter weeps the loss of her daughter
To the hands of Hades
Telxinoe:
The whistling through the nights was no more.
Her beauty was gone as the silence dripped on
Broken wings, with glittering light shining through
Not long after the virgin maiden crossed the river Styx
Two coins exchanged, Charon’s boat rowed
Hades had welcomed both the beloved companions.
A peaceful tomb for pet and girl alike
Tears spilled for a forgotten tomorrow.
Calliope:
O you who loved so strong,
enough to face the wrath of Hephaestus,
With Ares, sipping wine and indulging in the juicy fruit of the vine,
from whose bed sprung Eros
Please send your lovely blessings to our feast
Mneme:
Golden Aphrodite, spun in threads of honey,
composer of Aspasia’s saccharine affections.
I kneel before your mamoreal effigy, Goddess who honors me.
Receive my love, and adorn me in your grace.
Aoide:
Oh Noble Hades:
The others express fear of you,
But I am unafraid.
Like a nurturing mother,
You have embraced many of my familiars under your wing,
Though unwelcomed, you feel like a long-time companion,
Even though I am not ripe of age.
