Hello! Welcome to the following compilation of my work from this winter quarter of English 111.

The purpose of this portfolio is to highlight my ability to write effectively within the modes outlined by the English Department’s four outcomes, as well as to demonstrate my capacity for critical analysis of writing, including my own works. I will establish this proficiency by evaluating three of my short assignments in addition to my major research paper and then outlining the ways in which these papers exhibit the qualities of specific outcomes, namely: writing successfully for different audiences and genres; utilizing a variety of sources to create intertextuality within my claims and ideas; formulating a complex claim that includes sub-claims, counterclaims, and stakes; and finally, revising and editing with the intent of producing a polished final product.

In my portfolio, the final versions of my papers have the word "revised" in their title, whereas the first drafts are simply labeled by their assignment name. For example, the in text citation (SA1 Revised 2) refers to the second page of the last draft of that assignment, which would be included at the bottom of that page of the portfolio. The citation (SA1 2) refers to my first draft, which is included in the compendium.
