Quality Matters (QM)

What is Quality Matters?

Quality Matters (QM) is an organization focused on "quality assurance in online and innovative digital teaching and learning environments." As an organization, they provide faculty development, course and program reviews, and a continually evolving rubric for evaluating and improving the quality of online and hybrid courses.

This is not a Quality Matters course, but as an integral part of quality efforts at UW Tacoma—and for you as an online instructor with an interest in quality—basic familiarity with the standards established by the rubric will be helpful.

In addition, at various points in this course we will have labels indicating which QM standards a particular part of the course is related to.
