Introduction to Historical Research
Historical research is a process of discovery that is creative, iterative, sometimes frustrating, and takes time. You’ll likely hit roadblocks that will force you to take a different approach to find evidence for your research question. Or you may find evidence that changes your view of a topic. Leave yourself open to taking a different path than you originally planned.
This module is an introduction to (and for many, a review of) historical research. There are four sections. Feel free to jump to the sections that are of most interest to you.
