This information is for those of you who wish to write a 3rd paper for W credit (and if this is the case, please let me know you intend to do so by the date of the midterm examination).
Due date: on or before Monday, March 13 (date final exam is due). Please note that you may submit this paper at any point prior to the due date.
Instructions: For this paper you may choose to write on EITHER any of the topics suggested for Papers #1 and Paper #2 (but obviously not repeating what you've already submitted) OR any topic of your own devising provided you clear it with me first.
Grading: Although I will grade the paper along the lines of the previous two, your grade on this third paper is not counted toward your grade for the class -- it will simply ensure you receive W credit.
General paper guidelines, including length, apply to this paper as well.
