Week 03 Reading Reflection
- Due Apr 14, 2023 by 11:59pm
- Points 50
- Submitting a file upload
Please include at least the three following elements in your reading reflection:
- Briefly outline the argument of each article/book chapter for the week;
- Critically reflect on key concepts offered by each of the authors;
- Explore 3 to 5 focal points of some of the readings or brought up by the connections between the readings. This week, please make sure that you reflect on forms of power and questions of sovereignty, as they were central to our readings and class discussions.

A question I shared at the end of class on Thursday, to invite you to connect our seminar to your own research questions: How does thinking about Bonilla, Sturm, and Thomas' approaches to sovereignty nourish our attention (as ethnographers) to processes through which people make claim and define themselves, individually and collectively? Could some of their insights and frameworks be useful in your own research?
In addition, you can connect the articles with others that you’ve read (either in this seminar or in another), with personal experiences, and/or with your research questions.
Please use 11 or 12 pt font, single-space lines, and indent the first line of paragraphs. Upload in .doc, or .docx, format.
