Today's Reading: Reflection on Burke Museum visit

For today's reading journal, you will reflect on your visit to the Burke Museum. besides exploring this awesome museum (and the cafe!) this visit should be a time for you reflect on your "modern monster" and imagine how you would make an exhibit for it. 

As you tour the museum, notice how the layout, displays, placards, and environment all work together to give meaning to the exhibits. What exhibits stood out to you the most? What worked well about them? What drew you to them? 

For your reading journal, choose 3 exhibits to write about. For each, answer the following: 

  • What about this exhibit caught your attention?
  • How did this exhibit communicate information?
  • What about this exhibit can you use to help you plan your next major project?
