UW Libraries Search

Located on the UW Libraries’ homepage Links to an external site., UW Libraries Search is your main portal to all the items in the UW Libraries system-- books, maps, media, and more. It also includes items in other libraries and lots of articles. Many students find UW Libraries Search a great place to start because it is easy to navigate and allows searches to be as broad or specific as you need.

  • Pros: great for finding books and figuring out topics/general information
  • Cons: similar to Google, you may have to sift through a lot of results to find what you need; for articles, some subjects are better covered than others

Note: You’ll need to log in with your UWNetID in order to access online articles and eBooks.

Having trouble accessing the databases and sources? Try our proxy bookmarklet or Husky OnNet Links to an external site. to stay connected to UW resources even when off-campus.
