Give an example of a misogynist assumption that Christine de Pizan mentions in her work and describe how she counters it (what counter-example(s) does she use, or what assumptions/authorities does she draw upon). What does Christine's defense of women tell us about the gendered expectations of people in the early 15th century? In other words, how is Christine's defense of women shaped by her culture and the ideas about women that were available to her?
