Set up your Zoom profile

Before scheduling your first meeting, it's a good idea to update your personal information in your Zoom profile.

When you host, or join meetings on Zoom, your name and profile picture may be visible to other participants or members. Your personalized profile will help to make you more approachable to students and participants.

To edit your Zoom profile:

  1. Log in to the Zoom web portal Links to an external site. (use your UW NetID).
  2. In the Zoom navigation panel, select Profile.
  3. Make sure your name is correct. If not, you can update it at identity.uw.edu.
  4. Select Edit at the top of your Profile page to update your profile image and pronouns as desired, as well as any other profile information you'd like to include. Click Save to confirm your updates.
