How are Islam and Muslim societies portrayed in Joinville's Life of Saint Louis? Create a list of examples from the text, include the page numbers.

Submit your collection of evidence on the portrayal of Islam and Muslims in the form of Bullet points, you may paraphrase or pick out potent quotes (no need to write a paragraph)

While doing this, think about what this tell us about Joinville’s and the crusaders’ knowledge of Muslim customs and Islam as a religion? How accurate is the depiction? How does it differ from the depiction of Islam in the Song of Roland (no need to include this in your writing assignment, just take notes for yourself to be prepared for discussions in section)
