1. In the Sumerian proverbs, are there larger sections addressing any themes? What themes?
2. What are some examples of the Sumerian proverbs reflecting the daily experiences of the people?
3. Proverbs 14-21 is the rest of the initial “proverbs of Solomon” collection. What do these proverbs contribute to the question of why wisdom is worth pursuing? (give about 3 examples)

5. What is a piece of surprising advice from Porverbs 14-21?
6. Proverbs 25-29 is the proverb collection of “proverbs of Solomon which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied.” This collection gives advice on a wide variety of topics. What are three examples that give ethical advice?
7. Look at the beginning and ending of the collection in Proverbs 25-29. Do you think the men of Hezekiah put these things at the beginning and end on purpose? What is the effect of starting and ending the collection this way?
