Confusion

General Instructions

You should plan to do one of each of these short writing assignments. Each one should be done in response to or in conversations with single week's reading and will be due at the end of the week in which we discuss that work.

You may do them in any order you wish, and there will be weeks in which you don't do any.

Always make sure to note which assignment you are doing at top of your submission.

Double-space, 1 inch margins, 12 point font. Unless you have artistic reasons for doing otherwise.

Specific Instructions

Choose an aspect of the work which you do not understand or find confusing. Please make sure to explain what the aspect is early in your paper.

Ruminate on your confusion on the page, answering the following questions: Why don’t I understand this or why do I find it confusing? How might I figure out this passage or aspect of the work? Is my confusion fruitful in any way, or merely annoying? Why?
