General Instructions

You should plan to do one of each of these short writing assignments. Each one should be done in response to or in conversations with single week's reading and will be due at the end of the week in which we discuss that work.

You may do them in any order you wish, and there will be weeks in which you don't do any.

Always make sure to note which assignment you are doing at top of your submission.

Double-space, 1 inch margins, 12 point font. Unless you have artistic reasons for doing otherwise.

Specific Instructions

Think about one of the assumptions about fiction with which you entered this class. Describe the assumption early in your paper.

Then proceed to answer the following questions:

How did this week's reading challenge that assumption?

How did the challenge change your way of thinking about fiction in general and/or about the world at large?
