Directions:

Choose 2 advertisements and answer the following questions based on the ads. Make sure I know what ads you chose to analyze. All of these advertisements are real and were once used to advertise a variety of products, services, opinions, and beliefs. They do not necessarily represent my own personal opinions or beliefs (most of them are wildly offense and representative of a particular time and space).

4. Are the advertisements reaching out to broad audiences, or specific audiences?
5. Who is alienated by the advertisements? How can you tell?
6. Do the ads use ethos? Explain.
7. Do the ads use pathos? Explain.
8. Do the ads use logos? Explain.
9. Do you believe these are successful advertisements? Why or why not?
