Storyboard Analysis
Directions:
For this assignment, you are to share your storyboards (and most likely a bit about your narratives) with your group and answer the following questions. Everyone must submit responses to Canvas once completed.
Questions:
- Who is in your group?
- How many assets did you find/create for your "storyboard?" What are they? Why did you choose these assets?
- Did you find enough to fill out your entire narrative? If not, where else do you plan on finding more?
- (Approximately) How many assets did you already have? How many did you have to take? How many did you have to find online? How many did you have to make?
- If you had to make any, how did you make them?
- How well do your assets represent your narrative? Can you understand the narrative with only the assets? Why or why not?
- How do you imagine your assets will change your narrative? How will the introduction of the visual mode of communication transform the ways in which your narrative is understood (purpose, audience, intentions, contexts, affordances, limitations, etc.)?
- How many assets did your partners find/create for their storyboards? What are they? Why did they choose these assets?
- (Approximately) How many assets did they already have? How many did they have to take? How many did they have to find online? How many did they have to make?
- If they had to make any, how did they make them?
- How well do their assets represent their narratives? Can you understand their narratives with only their assets? Why or why not?
- What kind of impact do the visuals have on their own? How will adding audio change this?
- What are some similarities between all of your storyboards?
- What are some differences between all of your storyboards?
- Do you feel comfortable/confident with your project as we inch closer to the due date? Why or why not? Was this gathering of assets useful? Can you start to imagine your completed narrative?
