Most of Wordplay is implemented in TypeScript Links to an external site., a superset of JavaScript. If you're taking on a develop or verify role this quarter, you're going to need basic knowledge of the programming language. (It's okay if you don't have advanced knowledge of it — you can get by with the basics).
Start with the TypeScript handbook Links to an external site. and choose the appropriate sections based on your prior knowledge of JavaScript. Read through all of the basics and try making a few basic TypeScript programs.
When you're feeling comfortable with the syntax and the type system, submit a list of the tutorial pages that you read and summarize what concepts you feel most confident in, and which ones you still feel like you're mastering.
