MENTOR: Serve as a teaching assistant (optional, 5+ hours, repeatable)

We have partner teachers that are often in need of student assistants. If you are comfortable with middle school students, you can serve as one for credit. It's not necessary, but it will be helpful if you are fluent in Mandarin, Hindi, Cantonese, Punjabi, Spanish, Tamil, German, Swedish, Serbian, Japanese, Marathi, Taiwanese, Polish, Gujarati, or Turkish, as the students speak those languages in addition to English.

Your role, if you choose to serve, is:

• Sign up on the schedule Links to an external site. for a session and notify Amy that you've signed up.
• Ensure you are proficient in the Wordplay programming language, platform, and design patterns.
• In Discord, coordinate with the teacher on the topic of the session.
• Transport yourself to the teacher's class and help.

For credit, submit a paragraph describing what you did and what you noticed about the session. If you found defects or design ideas, you may report those for additional credit.

You can repeat this for multiple credit. Just make sure you include all reflections in your submission, not just the latest, so you get credit for all of them.
