Access this Google Doc version Links to an external site. of the syllabus in order to complete this assignment. Note: To access the document, you must be logged into Google using your UW NetID. If you need a refresher on how to log in to Google with your UW Net ID, here's a quick video tutorial (Links to an external site.).
Once you're in the Google doc Links to an external site., use the comment feature to do three (3) of the following:
- Comment on something that surprised you
- Comment on something that makes you nervous or anxious
- Comment on something that you were glad to see
- Comment on something that you think is missing
- Ask a question about something that confuses you
- Reply to one of your classmates' comments or questions
Use the reply feature to reply to one of your classmates' comments. You may agree, disagree (politely!), or point them to another part of the syllabus that you think answers one of their questions. It's true that if you're the first one to do this assignment, you will need to check it again later in order to reply.
To comment, merely highlight the text you want to comment on and click the circle with the plus sign (+) that appears just to the right of the paragraph. That will open up a comment box. Type your comment and then click the “Comment” button. Don’t worry about saving or putting your name on your work–Google will do that automatically. Just be sure you click the “Comment” button when you’re done making a comment. If you don’t, your comment won’t be visible to me or to others.
To reply, just click on the comment that interests you and type in the box that pops up below it. Remember to click "save" or "comment" or your reply will disappear.
