Realism Story Workshop 1
- Due Apr 14 by 9:30am
- Points 5
You can now find your workshop groups and whose stories to read for today at the bottom here.
Look at the Peer Reviews, Realism Story assignment for instructions on writing your peer reviews! You will only get credit for these if you follow those instructions.
Attending workshop and adding to the discussion will count towards your participation grade.
Our workshops this quarter will use variations on the Critical Response Process Download Critical Response Process, which focuses on questions and answers rather than statements. You can read about it through the link, and I will go over the variation for this first round of workshops in class.
To prepare for workshop:
- each author should arrive to class with at least 3 substantial questions about their story that they would like their readers to answer. Just the questions! No explanations!
- each reader should arrive to class with a statement of meaning for each story they're reading (a statement about the story's "aboutness" or focus) and at least 2 neutral questions for the author to answer. Just the questions! No explanations!
Group 1: Gonzalez, Shaw
Group 2: Thayne, Wu (add Wu to Workshop 3)
Group 3: Archer, Carey
