Getting Started

Congratulations on making it this far!

Continuing in this course is dependent on you having the following materials (possibly incomplete, which is OK!) about your course ready to use as a base for building your course site:

1. Syllabus
2. Schedule (including sequence of content/units)
3. The content you are providing (in digital form or links, preferably) students

Once you have your material ready, it's time for you to get into the action by continuing to work through the course modules from top to bottom. That's it.

A little more detail of what's coming:

1. You will choose the course site you wish to use and import the template we've provided. If you would like to request a Canvas Development course shell, contact Darcy Janzen. 
2. You will work through the modules in the course and learn to:
   1. Prepare your environment
   2. Build your accessible course (or significant parts of it)
   3. Facilitate presence and engagement
   4. Assess your students
   5. Promote the academic and intellectual integrity of your students
   6. Perform final checks on, publish, and teach your course
3. You will complete Learning Labs throughout the course to create the content, activities, assessments, etc. that you are learning about.
